Dennis Chinaworks Summer Gala Day

The Pottery Summer Gala Day was held on Sunday 10 July 2011

in the grounds of Shepton House in Somerset, and followed our traditional format, including the sale of trials and seconds, an auction, lunch and refreshments, demonstrations, competitions and an opportunity to decorate your own mug.

We were privileged this year to welcome Kaffe Fassett as our guest speaker; accompanied by Brandon Mably, the knitwear designer and manager of the Kaffe Fassett Studio. Kaffe gave a very entertaining talk about his life and work.

For each Gala Day, Sally and the team produce a limited edition special pot.

This year, to commemorate the Royal Wedding, Sally designed a

Wedding Dresses 12" Deco Vase in an edition of 25 - please see images below for three views of this beautifully decorated piece.
